Prepackaged food items stored in outdoor unapproved portable storage unit. Per manager, food items were removed from facility during active vermin infestation. Portable storage unit was not previously approved by this department.
[CA] Food shall be protected from contamination by storing the food in an approved, clean, dry location, where it is not exposed to splash, dust, vermin, or other forms of contamination or adulteration, and at least six inches above the floor.
Note: Store manager stated that all food items in outdoor storage unit will be voluntarily discarded. Manager placed work order for a dumpster rental with SCPM during inspection.

[CA] The premises of each food facility shall be kept free of vermin. A food facility shall not operate when there is a vermin infestation that has resulted in the contamination of food contact surfaces, food packaging, utensils, food equipment, or adulteration of food(s). Facility shall cease operation of food sales immediately. All food operations shall remain closed until: there is no longer evidence of a vermin infestation; all contaminated surfaces have been cleaned and sanitized; and contributing factors such as cleaning, repairs, and the elimination of harborages have been resolved.

[CA] Food is adulterated if it bears or contains any poisonous or deleterious substance that may render it impure or injurious to health and shall be discarded immediately.
[COS] All food items were voluntarily discarded.
