35. Approved thawing methods used. Observed frozen salmon defrosting in walk in refrigerator in enclosed ROP packaging, defrosting whole box, inside ROP packaging not opened. 3-501.13 (E)(1) Thawing. Fish must be removed from the reduced oxygen environment: (1) Prior to its thawing under refrigeration. Corrected during inspection, box of frozen salmon opened and placed in large plastic bin in walk-in, ROP packaging opened.
