Replace the battery of your plate-simulating temperature disk or obtain thermal test strips (for 160F). CDI- PIC educated on requirement. PIC getting replacement batteries today. A storage area and enclosure for REFUSE; recyclables; or returnables shall be maintained free of unnecessary items and clean. Remove the boxes. [REPEAT] 5-501.13 (Core); Dumpster observed rusting through along the side of the container. Receptacles and waste handling units for REFUSE; recyclables; and returnables and for use with materials containing FOOD residue shall be durable; cleanable; insect- and rodent-resistant; leakproof; and nonabsorbent. Contact your trash service provider to have the dumpster replaced. [REPEAT] 5-501.110; Core; Side door of dumpster left open and top lids both crushed inwards into the dumpster. PIC said the top lids no longer able to stay in place. REFUSE; recyclables; and returnables shall be stored in receptacles or waste handling units so that they are inaccessible to insects and rodents. Maintain side doors and top lids of dumpsters closed. Recommend adding signage to remind users to -Keep doors/lids Closed-. Contact trash service provider for assistance with fixing the lids. Ensure ALL janitorial staff in both buildings are reminded to NOT just toss bags of trash up into the dumpster area; as that will cause damage to the dumpster lids.
