OBSERVED NONFUNCTIONAL AIR CONDITIONING UNIT IN THE KITCHEN AREA WINDOW WITH GAPS BETWEEN KITCHEN AND EXTERIOR OF FACILITY. INSTRUCTED TO REPAIR, REPLACE, OR REMOVE THE AIR CONDITIONING UNIT AND SEAL ALL HOLES AND GAPS BETWEEN KITCHEN AND EXTERIOR TO PREVENT ENTRY OF PESTS AND MAINTAIN.
The inspector found mice, rats, cockroaches, flies, or evidence of them (like droppings) inside the business, or conditions that could attract them. Pests can spread bacteria to food and surfaces, so this is treated as one of the more serious findings.
