Inspector’s notes
Labels on packaged foods made in house that are available for self-service were observed missing the following: net quantity, sub ingredients and address of preparer or packer on ingredient labels. Ingredients also need to be broken down further to sub ingredients. Discussed labelling with Person In Charge, guidance document provided with emailed report. A label must contain the following: Name of food Net quantity Ingredients, in descending order, including sub ingredients Major Food Allergens Name and address of preparer or packer There are additional requirements if nutritional claims are being made, no labels on site were observed making nutritional claims.

Asked Person In Charge if orange juice was squeezed on site and pasteurized, to which they responded it is squeezed on site and not pasteurized. Discussed with Person In Charge that unpasteurized juice must be provided with a warning label stating that the juice has not been pasteurized. See bolded requirements above to comply and provide proper labelling to unpasteurized juice.
