STAPLE FOOD ORDINANCE: Under the Staple Food Ordinance stores are required to stock items in 10 staple food categories including: milk; cheese; eggs; meat and vegetable proteins; fruits and vegetables; 100% juice; whole grains; cereals; canned beans; and dried peas/beans/lentils. Your store has not stocked the following: Title 10, MCO 203.10 (a)-(j). Comply immediately.
Inspector’s notes
1. Observed 4 fresh varieties of fruit on site. Requirement is 7 varieties, totaling 30 pounds or 50 items. 2. No beans/legumes on site. Obtain at least 4 varieties totaling at least 256 ounces (with no added ingredients). 3. Observed 2 varieties of animal/vegetable proteins (peanut butter and tuna). Obtain 2 more varieites. 4. Observed 2 varieties of dairy/dairy alternatives (2 types of cheese). Obtain 3 varieties with 3 being milk/milk alternatives. Total must equal 8 pounds/gallons. Staple food chart sent with report.
