Person in charge stated that the coffee pot is washed and rinsed but not sanitized. There is no approved location onsite to properly wash/rinse/sanitize food contact surfaces. (Although there is a 3-compartment sink in the back room, there is no hand sink near it. Discontinue serving drip coffee that requires utensils or equipment to be washed onsite. If owner wishes to remodel the back room to be an approved location for wash/rinse/sanitize, a Food Plan Review application must be submitted. Contact Inspector for further information

Observed drip coffee being made for customer self-service. Employees wash and rinse the equipment in a hand-sink behind the POS station. This is not approved, since food contact surfaces must be sanitized properly after washing and rinsing. There is no approved location onsite to properly wash/rinse/sanitize food contact surfaces. (Although there is a 3-compartment sink in the back room, there is no hand sink near it and the area is dirty and cluttered with mixed-use items.) Discontinue serving drip coffee that requires utensils or equipment to be washed onsite. If owner wishes to remodel the back room to be an approved location for wash/rinse/sanitize, a Food Plan Review application must be submitted. Contact Inspector for further information.
