3-307.11; Core; Noted ice build-up from the walk-in freezer unit has leaked onto boxes of food items underneath. Store all food items in a clean location with minimal risk of contamination. EHS instructed PIC to relocate boxes.
Food was stored or handled in a way that could let germs or other material get into it, such as raw meat stored above ready-to-eat food or uncovered food. Cross-contamination is a common cause of foodborne illness.

4-602.13; Core; Noted some ice buildup has leaked onto the storage racks below the condenser unit in the walk-in freezer. According to PIC; the condenser unit has been repaired. EHS discussed removing ice buildup. Non-FOOD-CONTACT SURFACES of EQUIPMENT shall be cleaned at a frequency necessary to preclude accumulation of soil residues.
