Adequate handwash facilities supplied, accessible
The hand washing sink had items in it and large buckets blocking it. [CA] The hand washing sink must be kept clear and readily accessible. Please do not put any utensils or buckets in/on it. Use it only for hand washing and keep it clear.
Staff were not washing their hands when required, or a handwashing sink was blocked, missing soap or paper towels, or used for something else. Hands are one of the most common ways germs reach food.

Observed rodent droppings on the floor under most all shelves and tables. Observed rodent droppings on plates on the shelves. Also observed droppings on bottom shelves of tables and containers with restaurant items in them. [CA] Clean and sanitize areas of droppings and throughout all of the kitchen. Take effective measures to eliminate the rodents from inside the facility. Clean and sanitize the floors throughout the kitchen. Covering any holes in the walls and gaps under doors will help keep the vermin out. Provide a pest control service. The facility must remain closed until all of the requirements are met and permission is given by this department to reopen. The food facility shall remain closed until: there is no longer evidence of a vermin infestation; all contaminated surfaces have been cleaned and sanitized; and contributing factors such as cleaning, repairs, and the elimination of harborages have been resolved and the copy of the pest control service is obtained by this department along with the checklist.
The inspector found mice, rats, cockroaches, flies, or evidence of them (like droppings) inside the business, or conditions that could attract them. Pests can spread bacteria to food and surfaces, so this is treated as one of the more serious findings.
