HANDS CLEAN & PROPERLY WASHED
OBSERVED A FOOD HANDLER NOT PROPERLY WASHING THEIR HANDS IN BETWEEN TASKS. FOOD HANDLER WAS FIRST SEEN CLEANING PREP AREA, WHEN CUSTOMER ENTERED ESTABLISHMENT, FOOD HANDLER THEN DRIED HANDS AND PUT ON GLOVES. FOOD HANDLER WAS THEN OBSERVED REMOVING A GLOVE TO HANDLE CASH. WHEN the CUSTOMER LEFT, the FOOD HANDLER PUT ON a GLOVE TO CUT MANGOS. INSTRUCTED TO USE A HAND SINK TO WASH HANDS, USE SOAP TO WASH, AND USE PAPER TOWELS TO DRY. PRIORITY VIOLATION #7-38-010. CITATION ISSUED.
Staff were not washing their hands when required, or a handwashing sink was blocked, missing soap or paper towels, or used for something else. Hands are one of the most common ways germs reach food.
