Official wording

Controlling Pests (Pf)

Inspector’s notes

In the rear of the location near the egress there is evidence of chewing on floor mats and cardboard boxes as well as small dark rodent droppings being present along the perimeter of the floors and on the bottom shelving where Ritz crackers are and observed a deceased and trapped mouse on a glue trap. Clean and sanitize the floors of droppings; provide the most recent pest control report as it was not able to be provided during the inspection and have your pest control operator perform a service prior to the reinspection and focus on exclusionary methods to prevent the pests from entering your facility; the pest control report must show now evidence of pests as well as no captures and no activity.

In plain English

The inspector found mice, rats, cockroaches, flies, or evidence of them (like droppings) inside the business, or conditions that could attract them. Pests can spread bacteria to food and surfaces, so this is treated as one of the more serious findings.
