Official wording

The business must employ at least one valid Minnesota Food Protection Manager's certification (CFPM). Find more information on the Minnesota Department of Health web page.

Inspector’s notes

Observed no state certified food protection manager for the establishment. An approved source caters in food and employees on site at the daycare serve the food to the children. Therefore, the licensed daycare is required to provide a current state of MN certified food protection manager for establishment. Included below is a direct link to the state of MN website on how to register for an approved class. https://www.health.state.mn.us/communities/environment/food/cfpm/index.html Upon completion of the class, an exam is required and must be passed. Once achieved, the applicant will be required to apply for state of MN food protection manager certification. Upon receiving the state certificate, it must be posted on the premises.

In plain English

A required permit, food safety certificate, trained manager, or posted sign was missing or not current. These show the business is following the rules and has trained staff.
