minorCode 3-305.11 Food Storage-Preventing Contamination from the Premises - Water is pooled on the deteriorated floor under loose floor tiles in front of the very-low-set 2-door beverage refrigerator. Refrigerator is soiledContamination

Official wording

Contamination prevented during food preparation; storage & display

Inspector’s notes

3-305.11 Food Storage-Preventing Contamination from the Premises - Water is pooled on the deteriorated floor under loose floor tiles in front of the very-low-set 2-door beverage refrigerator. Refrigerator is soiled; not clean; and is subject to splash from the pooled liquid. If the liquid on the floor is from a malfunctioning floor drain; this is considered sewage. A)Except as specified in par. (B) and (C) of this section; food; beverages shall be protected from contamination by storing the food: (1) In a clean; dry location; (2) Where it is not exposed to splash; dust; or other contamination; and (3) At least 6 inches above the floor. Currently the under counter refrigerator sits unusually close to the floor and items are exposed each time the refrigerator door is opened. Recommend discontinuing storage of cartons of almond milk; coconut beverage; half & half; etc in the floor splash-zone until the food storage and preparation area is clean and dry. Today we added rubber floor mats over the pooled liquid in front of the refrigerator; but it comes through the rubber mats. Manager Brett Wilson put in a new request for flooring repair (00257:2080)

In plain English
