A storage area and enclosure for refuse, recyclables, or returnables is to be maintained clean and free of unnecessary items, that is nonfunctional or longer used; and litter.

Inspector’s notes
Nonfood-contact surfaces are not cleaned frequently enough. Observed shelving used to store chips, and other food i items in the display area was dirty with accumulated debris.
Shelving in the cooler was also observed to be moldy and soiled. In addition several shelves in the display area were rusted and are no longer easily cleanable.
The person in charge stated that the facility is in the process of replacing the rusted shelves in both the walk-in cooler and the display area area during the inspection.
The manager began cleaning the shelving and food storage area areas. Continue cleaning all shelving thoroughly and maintain them in a clean sanitary condition replace all rusted or damaged shelves with smooth durable and easily cleanable shelving to prevent prevent contamination of stored food.
