Equipment components were not intact, tight or properly adjusted. Cold holding unit has been repaired and holding at/below 41F. Freezer section still has not been repaired. 4 boxes of mozzarella sticks were in freezer unit at time of inspection. Person in charge voluntarily discarded items and taped the freezer doors shut to prevent other items from being placed in broken unit.

Inspector’s notes

Equipment components were not intact, tight or properly adjusted. Person in charge was discarding items from reach in cooler upon arrival and noted HVAC system had went out recently, causing temperature control issues of the coolers and freezers. Person in charge noted any time/temperature controlled for safety (TCS) food items stored in the unit in question that was over 41F is being discarded. Part of the freezer also went down and those items were discarded. A work order is out for both units. Continue to monitor temperatures and equipment so TCS items stay at/below 41F.
