4.5(D) - Nonfood-contact surfaces - cleaning frequency
Inspector’s notes
Nonfood-contact surfaces are not cleaned frequently enough. Soiled surfaces were observed at the bottom of two milk freezers, one in the service area and the second in the student lunch area, with dried milk residue present. Additionally, food residue was observed on the gaskets of the four-door cooler. All affected equipment must be cleaned and maintained to prevent residue buildup, including the interior surfaces of all four cooler doors.
In plain English
Dishes, equipment, or surfaces that touch food were not properly washed, rinsed, and sanitized, or sanitizer was not at the right strength. Clean surfaces help stop germs from spreading to food.
