OBSERVED EXPOSED HAND WASHING SINK LOCATED NEXT TO 3-COMPARTMENT SINK IN REAR DISWASHING AREA/PREP AREA NOT ACCESSIBLE FOR USE. SINK BLOCKED BY FIRST AID BOX, WIPING CLOTHS, SPOONS AND PLASTIC BAGS. MANAGER REMOVED ITEMS FROM HAND WASHING SINK. MUST MAINTAIN HAND WASHING SINK ACCESSIBLE AT ALL TIMES. PRIORITY FOUNDATION VIOLATION 7-38-030(C). CITATION ISSUED.
Staff were not washing their hands when required, or a handwashing sink was blocked, missing soap or paper towels, or used for something else. Hands are one of the most common ways germs reach food.
