ADEQUATE HANDWASHING SINKS PROPERLY SUPPLIED AND ACCESSIBLE
OBSERVED THE HANDWASHING SINK IN KITCHEN NOT ACCESSIBLE FOR USE; HANDSINK WAS BLOCKED WITH CUTTING BOARD PLACED ON TOP, AND UTENSILS ARRANGED ON THE CUTTING BOARD. INSTRUCTED TO MAKE THE SINK ACCESSIBLE FOR USE, REMOVE CUTTING BOARD AND ALL UTENSILS AND ENSURE AVAILABILITY OF HOT AND COLD RUNNING WATER, SOAP AND PAPER TOWELS. MANAGER REMOVED ITEMS AND MADE SINK ACCESSIBLE AT TIME OF INSPECTION. PRIORITY FOUNDATION VIOLATION, 7-38-030(c). CITATION ISSUED.
Staff were not washing their hands when required, or a handwashing sink was blocked, missing soap or paper towels, or used for something else. Hands are one of the most common ways germs reach food.
