Provide containers for food or beverages prepared for takeout or to be eaten immediately. Containers must be reuseable, recyclable or compostable.
Black lids for coffee cups were observed being used for coffees that customers take to go at the time of inspection. Discussed with Manager that black plastic is not reusable, recyclable or compostable and does not meet the requirements for the City of Minneapolis Green to Go ordinance. Will provide copy of guidance document for acceptable alternatives to black plastic. Contact inspector with questions. Discontinue ordering black plastic lids for products and order compliant to go containers.
