Observed employee wash measuring scoops in handwash sink of bakery area while skipping sanitization step. Utensils shall be wash wash, rinsed and sanitized as final cleaning step when cleaning soiled utensils via manual warewashing. Retrain staff on proper manual sanitization procedures.
Minor violations were also found. For more information, contact Marin County Environmental Health Services at (415) 473-6907 and ask to see the actual inspection report. Or ask the food facility for the inspection report. A green placard was issued.

Dishwasher was observed rinsing soiled dishes and then proceeded to store cleaned and sanitized utensils without first washing hands in the warewashing area. [CA] Any action that requires handwashing means that the food handler must discard the gloves they are wearing , wash and dry hands before handling food or utensils.
In the follow-up inspection, all violations were found to be in compliance, except violations 41 (warewashing sink leaking) and 49 (health permit not available), which are still not in compliance.
Staff were not washing their hands when required, or a handwashing sink was blocked, missing soap or paper towels, or used for something else. Hands are one of the most common ways germs reach food.
